Good game, the final score has no reflection of what type of game this was. The Trojans go into the locker room up 11, 41-32, off of a late run. The teams play the second half pretty evenly (actually 44-42 Wayzata) with a lot of questionable calls that I think were evened out by games end. the Trojans are just to long and strong up front and their bigs make the difference. Pella and Zimmermann (one, both or the other with another double double) play well and do what they can but the Trojans are just to deep up front. The Rebels start to use their abundance of quick guards and tie the score at 68 off of their ball pressure. Rebels have a couple of turnovers and missed shots and before you can blink the Trojans are up 8 with a minute left.
The Box:
Theisen 12
Duberry 10
Williamson 6
Munneke 5
Marquardt 3
Zimmermann 2
Reibling 2
? - 16 points are unaccountable per the score sheet ... I would say most are Zimmermann's
Of note ...
- The dynamic defense guard duo of Marquardt & Hager (classic example of no points don't matter)
- Rebels get back in game and play effectively with 3 guard alignment
- Still no Dittrich
