The state's top-ranked team will be the team to beat in a strong field at the Anoka tournament.

Anoka will be the latest team to discover that it might be your gym, but it is all about No. 1 Hopkins. The Royals' Mike Broghammer (pictured), Raymond Cowels, Trent Lockett and future Gopher Royce White steal the show wherever they go.

Fighting for some spotlight will be No. 9 Wayzata, led by Jarrod Peterson (16.3 points per game) and Nolan Odland (15.5).

Rayveen Banks, who just missed a triple-double earlier this season, will lead Irondale. Scott Theisen averages 19.7 points per game for Champlin Park, and Bernie Ward (15.4) is the top scoring threat for host Anoka.

St. Paul Como Park, which reached the Class 3A state tournament last season, fills out the bracket.
