The Mustangs have secured the out-right NSIC championship with a win against Northern State this past Saturday. They finished the regular season 25-5, ranked #1 in the central region and maybe ranked as high as #14 in the country. They start the 1st round of the conference tournament this Wednesday against Northern State (again!).
The Mustangs have expressed interest in the Rebel juniors Jasper Duberry & Kyle Zimmermann. Duberry attended Jr Day (also Hawaiian Night) back on January 24th when SMSU defeated Wayne State in a hard fought 49-41 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference game in front of a packed house of 3,568 in the R/A Facility. Zimmermann did not attend do to a previously schedule family event.
