Lindenwood Defeats No. 1 Robert Morris On Last Second Free Throws


Brad Soderberg picked up his first win as a Lion on Friday evening.


Richard Rose hit two free throws with 0.9 seconds left to give the No. 12 Lindenwood men’s basketball team a 68-66 win over the top ranked team in the NAIA, Robert Morris. The game was played in front of a large home opener crowd and was the first victory for first year head coach Brad Soderberg.

Last season, Robert Morris was one of the top scoring teams in the NAIA by averaging 86.6 points a game. The Lions defense however forced 16 turnovers and held the Eagles to just 43.9 percent shooting from the field and 30.4 percent shooting from beyond the arc.
