Brandon Marquardt gave Champlin Park a boost with a dramatic touchdown catch just before halftime.
Amid the good vibes in the Blaine High School visitors locker room, Marquardt noticed a poignant sign on the wall.
"It said something like, 'You can't compare the heart of the team that wins and the team that loses. You look at who had the heart to come back,'" he said. "I told the guys we had to keep playing hard in the second half because they wouldn't stop."
