The Rebels (19-4 / 14-1) hit the road for their 1st of two road games as they travel to Elk River to take on the Elks (14-9 / 8-7) for a Friday February 26th conference game.
The Rebels who are coming off their big victory over Osseo on Tuesday look to keep their 12 game winning streak going. The Rebels defeated the Elks back on January 26th 68-60 in a tuff game that could have gone either way until the last six minutes of the game.
The Elks, who defeated Park Center 83-64 Tuesday night, have two players who are averaging 10 points a game. They are led by junior Ben Erickson who is averaging 11 points a game.
The balanced scoring Rebels are averaging 69 points a game. Josh Pella who is averaging 12 points a game leads four players who are scoring in double digits per game. The team will again be without post player Kyle Zimmermann as he nurses his ankle sprang.
The Rebels have won 17 of their last 19 games. They are currently ranked #2 in the Minnesota Basketball News poll and moved up to #3 (from 5) in the Minnesota Preps poll.
